Artists Wanted! Mark the Date! Fall Fun and Christmas is Coming!

Queensland Beach is just one of the many white sandy beaches along the South Shore! 
August is well underway, the days are slipping by with so many great events, festivals and folks from around the world exploring the south shore.
While we know you are very preoccupied with welcoming guests, here are a few quick bits of information and upcoming events we wanted to be sure you are aware of! Let’s call it your Top 5!

Attention South Shore Artists, Tourism Nova Scotia is looking for Nova Scotia-made gifting items for GoMedia Canada

#2: Mark the Date!
Lobster Festival 2018 Planning Meeting, Sept. 7, 12:30pm-2pm. Location: White Point Beach Resort 
From Feb 2-19 we’ll be celebrating Nova Scotia’s greatest culinary ingredient – lobster! We’re challenging and inviting the South Shore to help create and host this winter’s first-ever Lobster Fest. Imagine three weeks bursting with Lobster Roll Week, Savour the Sea Lobster Art Shows, Lobster Tales featuring local lobster fishermen/women, Sea Shanties, and more. Bring your ideas and energy to this kick-off planning meeting… oh winter of 2018, you are going to be a feast for all the senses!

September is the new August! Let’s keep the momentum rolling – give us your South Shore Top 10 Things To Do so we will promote it!

#5: Christmas is coming! 
Who wears a suit of red? A cooked lobster AND Santa of course! Our ‘Tis the Sea’Son Festival is beginning to take shape thanks to our Christmas Festival Committee and our lead, Tina Grace at the Best Western Bridgewater. Register your Holiday Season event happening between Nov 19 and Jan 6 to be a part of our Christmas Season on the South Shore promotions!
